In the past few days Cordelia has had lots of little wins to celebrate. She has been responding well to the steroids. She is breathing easier and her ventilator settings have been lowered over the past few days. Her weight is slowly ticking up and she’s now 730 grams.

She had her first SLP (Speech Language Pathologist) visit today, and showed off to the therapist by doing some rooting and sucking even though she’s just about 30 gestational weeks, which is apparently quite early for that behavior. We’ll see if she keeps it up. The goal is to get her mouth nice and dexterous for feeding further down the road.

Her isolette has switched from “baby mode” to “air mode” meaning she is regulating her own temperature better now and doesn’t need to have it monitored constantly.

Mom and Dad have both been doing more skin to skin. Dad did a marathon 4 hours the other day! Cordelia was happy the whole time.

Her primary day nurse Courtney took Cordelia’s hand and foot prints again and crafted them in to a little card for us to take home and proudly display.
