Lots has happened in a few days! First off, Cordelia has moved to an open-air crib! She’s no longer in an isolette, meaning it’s much easier to change her diapers, swaddle or un-swaddle her, or just stare at her unabated. To go along with the new digs, she’s also started wearing clothes regularly, and we’re hoping to start dressing her in the littlest outfits we have for her. (Seen below in her rainbow pjs from baby friend Luna.)
Today she also made another move down in her respiratory support! She’s on a high flow nasal cannula now, meaning she’s not getting extra pressure in her lungs, only supplemental oxygen.
Cordelia had her third eye exam, and this one showed her retinas have fully matured and are healthy! That means no more uncomfortable eye exams during the rest of her NICU stay and she doesn’t need any treatment for retinopathy.
